What Is the Numbiano Game?

The Numbiano Game is the ultimate blend of creativity, music, and gameplay. Designed for family and friends, it turns your smartphone or tablet into a musical playground where players can take turns becoming the “Numbianist” and challenge their music skills. Your goal? Be the first to score 10 points by playing songs on the Numbiano better than anyone else and guessing your fellow players’ songs faster than they can say, “Numbiano!”

How Does It Work?

Players alternate between being the “Numbianist” (the performer) and the “Guessers.” On their turn, the Numbianist uses the Numbiano app to generate a song number, finds the matching Numbiano Notation in the songbook, and plays it. The Guessers must identify the song being played as quickly as possible by calling out, “Numbiano!”

The game gets even more exciting with four difficulty levels:

• Basic: Play the melody with a tonal centre of C.
• Advanced: Play the melody and harmony with a tonal centre of C.
• Expert: Play the melody in any of the 12 tonal centres.
• Master: Play the melody and harmony in any of the 12 tonal centres.

The higher the difficulty level, the more points you can earn, but the challenge also increases!
